"It is a rare treat for SNL to host an up-and-coming entertainer who just happens to be passing through town. Tara Tinsley is a singer-songwriter who has been compared to artists like Jewel and Jack Johnson while maintaining a fresh, unique sound. Originally from Michigan, Tara is now based in California's Central Valley. Some of her 300 songs are recorded on three albums: Come and Go, Sail Away, and Beautiful Day. Tara has been opening for a range of established and alternative pop-rock bands in major venues such as the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan, the Modesto Centre Plaza in Modesto, California and the Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California.
